Aptos 是一个新的独立项目，专注于提供世界上最安全和最适合生产的第 1 层区块链。该团队由 Diem 的原始创建者、研究人员、设计师和建设者组成，Diem 是最初为此目的而构建的区块链
2022年3月15号，Aptos 在 a16z crypto 牵头的战略回合中筹集了 2 亿美元，参与方包括 Multicoin Capital、Katie Haun、3 Arrows Capital、ParaFi Capital、IRONGREY、Hashed、Variant、Tiger Global、BlockTower、FTX Ventures、Paxos 和 Coinbase Ventures，以及 Web2 和 Web3 生态系统中的其他现象级公司、高管和天使的大力支持。
2022年3月28号，Binance Labs宣布投资了公链项目 Aptos Labs。Aptos 和币安将在开发、代码审查、基础设施建设和黑客马拉松方面密切合作。
Aptos的目标是建立一个更具可扩展性的区块链，使用Move编程语言，旨在为数十亿用户提供服务，尽早满足大型企业客户的需求。Aptos表示，不会在构建区块链时使用Silvergate拥有的任何Diem知识产权。
