英国文化、媒体和体育部下属的博彩委员会已经宣布拒绝了加拿大土著区的卡纳威克(Kahnawake)以及安提瓜(Antigua)的广告白名单申请，但是批准了澳大利亚的塔斯马尼亚(Tasmania)申请。

去年英国通过立法，只有欧盟内和其它批准的博彩管理区内的博彩公司才能在英国的电视媒体上做Dubo广告。此措施以出台，大批博彩公司纷纷跑到马耳他（Malta - 南欧岛国，靠意大利）申请额外博彩许可证。 c. n7 a' N* R8 u. `( _

博彩委员会的通讯没有透露为何拒绝卡纳威克和安提瓜的申请，只是说明，“按照公开的标准来评估这两个博彩区，我们决定不将它们列入白名单”。& r! E1 l% S5 G- h0 k& X

因为缺乏透明度和不理会玩家的投诉，卡纳威克多年来一直饱受玩家的批评。最近，在绝对扑克作弊事件上，卡纳威克的做法在网络博彩行业引起了巨大的争议。卡纳威克目前仍然有大量的博彩牌照，但是却是衰落最快的博彩管理区。

澳大利亚的塔斯马尼亚此次比较幸运的被列入白名单。塔斯马尼亚的新的博彩管理条例符合英国博彩委员会2007年1月公布的标准，此条例将于2008年1月31日生效，自那时起，持有该管理区博彩牌照的公司可以在英国做广告。
