美联储官员周三再次表达了他们控制高通胀的决心，旧金山联邦储备银行行长Mary Daly在接受路透社采访时表示：“我认为，9月份加息50个基点是合理的。”
Daly 补充道，“如果我们只是看到通胀肆无忌惮地飙升，劳动力市场没有放缓的迹象，上调 75 个基点可能更合适。”
她提到：“我没有看到人们现在正在经历经济衰退……我不再感受到通货膨胀的痛苦，我看到物价上涨，但我能承受……我有时对价格犹豫不决，但我没有发现自己处于必须做出取舍的空间，因为我能承受，许多美国人也足以承受……在我看来，利率3.4% 是我们在年底前达到的合理水平”
美联储是否会在 9 月 20 日至 21 日的政策会议上连续第三次加息 75 个基点还是略微缩减，是投资者、企业和消费者的核心利益所在。他们越来越担心央行的通胀斗争可能引发经济衰退
美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔上周表示，美联储可能会在 9 月会议上考虑再次“异常大幅度”加息，官员们在决策时参考了包括通胀、就业、消费者支出和经济增长在内的十几个关键数据点
包括Daly在内的几位政策制定者本周表现出继续积极收紧货币政策的坚定决心，几乎所有政策制定者都一致表示，美联储仍决心继续加息，直到看到强有力且持久的证据表明通胀正在放缓，有望回到美联储 2% 的目标
明尼阿波利斯联储主席Neel Kashkari 回应了Daly的言论，“央行在2023年转向降息的可能性极小”
Kashkari 在纽约金融监管会议的一场活动中表示：“一些金融市场表示，他们预计我们明年会降息。”
Kashkari 补充说：“鉴于我对潜在通胀动态的了解，目前看来这似乎是一个非常不可能的情况。更有可能的情况是，我们将继续提高(利率)，然后我们将按兵不动，直到我们有很大信心通胀率很好地回落到2%的道路上。”
圣路易斯联邦储备银行行长James Bullard也表示，央行将坚定不移地加息，以降低通胀率
Bullard在接受CNBC采访时表示：“我们将采取强硬态度，让这一点成为现实。我认为我们可以采取强有力的行动，回到2%的水平。”
