随着以太坊启发的集会继续进行，梦寐以求的翻转形象开始再次被谈论。eth 合并也即将到来，如果它进展顺利，并且新闻事件结束，为什么新的高性能以太坊不应该在市值上超过比特币？
也许比特币已经在 17,500 美元触底。从那时起，它一直在上涨，现在位于 23,000 美元至 24,000 美元之间，许多人希望它将达到 28,000 美元至 30,000 美元的巨大阻力。
然而，该节目的真正明星是以太坊。在比特币从底部上涨近 40% 的地方，以太坊从当地底部 880 美元上涨了约 100% 至 1780 美元。
随着比特币获得如此巨大的收益，并且随着 ETH 与权益证明的合并指日可待，有迹象表明以太坊应该成功完成其里程碑，并且没有太多的推迟（它有这样的历史）然后翻转很可能在卡片上。
分析平台 Quantum Economics 的创始人 Mati Greenspan 在今天早些时候的福布斯文章中引述了这种翻转：

比特币的价值在于人们认为它是黄金的数字版本。与黄金相比，它确实具有许多重要优势，许多人说它将在未来几年内与黄金的市值持平。一些人可能会争辩说，市场并不完全了解比特币在当前经济低迷中的地位，这似乎越来越严重。
比特币具有价值主张，但由于其智能合约能力以及比比特币更广泛的实用性，以太坊可能具有更大的价值。
BitBull Capital 的首席执行官 Joe DiPasquale 在福布斯的文章中也引用了他的话说，以太坊是一个“差异化因素”：
“我们确实喜欢以太，我们认为它是一个主要的区别。比特币一直是百磅大猩猩，但以太实际上是另一只百磅大猩猩。其他一切都落后了。”
如果要在价值上超过比特币，以太坊需要走很多路。然而，一切顺利，比特币的减半效应将被以太坊的升级所压倒，这将大大降低以太坊的通货膨胀率，导致供应减少比比特币减半更为严重。
