9月12日，在绝对扑克举行的一场网络锦标赛上，一名用户名“Marco”的玩家认为另外一名用户名为“Potripper”的锦标赛冠军玩家可能存在作弊行为，随即发邮件到绝对扑克进行咨询。绝对扑克工作人员误将一份XLS格式的内部资料文件回邮件给这名玩家。

6 s, j/ j- {, _+ y; l# z 经过其他玩家和专业人士分析，这份看似杂乱的文件其实是一份包含锦标赛所有用户每一手牌的详细历史记录，其中还包含了所有用户的帐户号、登陆IP地址和电子邮件地址。

7 Y! i* b$ l( A6 t/ S 文件历史记录显示用户名为“Potripper”的玩家似乎可以看到其他用户的底牌，在比赛中经常出现有违常理的举动，但结果总是能赢，事实证明他简直就是看着其他玩家的底牌在玩。

! s+ h9 ` p/ r3 F+ ? J" u8 E 文件同时还记录了“Potripper”的IP地址和邮件名，经过分析，“Potripper”的邮件地址是在绝对扑克的服务器上，而且“Potripper”的登陆IP地址显示这条宽带网的安装人是绝对扑克前主席Scott Tom。

玩家最后分析认为“Potripper”的帐户属于绝对扑克的前运营主管AJ Green，他是Scott Tom最好的朋友，现在AJ Green在另一家博彩公司供职。
