从1951年1月到1951年5月，Dandolos跟Johnny Moss打两人的“单挑”扑克比赛。两人几乎打遍了当时存在的每种游戏种类。这个游戏最初是Benny Binion为吸引游客创立的，后来被广泛认为是现代WSOP灵感来源。经过5个月的扑克马拉松之战，亏损估计达到200万至400万美元时，Dandolos终于无奈说出了一句话，“Moss先生，我不得不让你走了。”这句话后来成为最常引用的扑克名言之一。疲倦是Dandolo输掉的主要因素，因为他比Moss大24岁。
