Crypto的好处之一是，它们允许金融交易在全球实时进行。然而，同样的好处也被犯罪分子用于进行全球范围内的相关犯罪。
同时执法机构的跨界合作可对参与Crypto犯罪的各方进行调查、起诉和定罪。
2020年11月，美国司法部报告称，美国代表巴西政府在一起Crypto欺诈案中扣押了价值约2400万美元的Crypto。
最近，在2022年2月，美国移民和海关执法局联合国土安全调查局合作调查了2016年Bitfinex Crypto交易所被黑客攻击盗取Crypto一案，德国安斯巴赫警察局也协助了这项调查。
2022年3月，美国总统乔·拜登发布了一项数字资产行政命令，以确保美国数字资产发展。
除了要求各联邦机构共同努力，为数字资产制定一个全面的监管框架外，还要求执法机构进行跨境合作，以打击Crypto犯罪。
其命令写道：“自本命令发出之日起90天内，司法部长应与国务卿、财政部长和国土安全部部长协商，向总统提交一份关于如何加强国际执法合作的报告，说明如何加强国际执法合作，以侦查、调查和起诉与数字资产有关的犯罪活动。”
2022年8月5日，美国司法部报告称，一名俄罗斯Crypto洗钱嫌疑人从希腊被引渡到美国，其罪名是运营一个非法比特币交易所，据称该交易所接受了价值超过40亿美元的存款，最后希腊司法部协助将被告移送到了美国。
在最近另一项类似的案件中，韩国未注册的虚拟资产服务提供商（VASP）成为了焦点。
根据2022年8月18日的报道，韩国金融情报机构（Ko FIU）向检察机关通报了16名向国内市场提供商业服务的未注册的国外VSAP平台。
作为针对未登记的VSAP采取的一部分措施，KoFIU计划将未登记的VSAP通知各自国家的金融情报单位，以通报其违规行为。
鉴于Crypto的全球活跃性，执法机构正在提高合作水平，以调查和起诉与Crypto有关的犯罪。这种合作关系表明，法网恢恢疏而不漏。
