博奕娱乐已经是国际观光的成熟产业之一，国立高雄餐旅学院特地寻求跟澳门以及拉斯维加斯合作，将在对方协助下设立国内第一座校园内的「教学娱乐城」，未来高雄餐旅学院的学生都有课程学习像是百家乐、轮盘、吃角子老虎等Dubo游戏的经营。(林宪源报导)/ f/ m' D8 @8 r8 |
高雄餐旅学院先后和美国拉斯维加斯博奕管理学院，以及澳门科海研究及发展中心(Ocean-Tech Research & Development Centre)下属的环球博彩研究中心签订产学合作契约，将由这两个合作单位协助在高餐旅校园内建立「环球博弈培训中心」，建构全台首座的教学型模拟娱乐城（Casino Gaming Lab）。

高餐旅的教学娱乐城内将有包括21点、百家乐、轮盘、扑克、翻摊、骰宝、角子老虎机等硬体设施，并将取得美国 Gaming Laboratories International, Inc. (GLI) 的标准评鑑及认证，成为国内首座具国际博奕认证的教学训练场所；学校也已指派师资前往拉斯维加斯受训，而且建置完成后，澳门以及拉斯维加斯的合作单位也会派员前来支援教学。双方也决定合作让高餐旅的学生前往拉斯维加斯的娱乐城实习。 8 N9 V4 u7 v, h7 d( n6 i
